Closing plenary | Visions for a low carbon world

In December 2015, 195 nations and their leaders came together to adopt the Paris Agreement pledging to take action to avoid the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, recognising that this would significantly reduce the risks and impacts of climate change.

However, the agreement is a partially-legally binding mechanism to help guide us in the right direction. Now, it is up to each nation, sector, company, organisation, and individual to follow through on the commitments, and to turn ambition into measurable action. Our final plenary looks at visions for a low carbon world and how we can practically move towards that vision, examining whether we are ready for this transition.
