Presentation: Driving for near to zero, energy hospitals

Speaker Dr. Matthew Bacon, Chief Executive - The Conclude Consultancy Limited

Dr Bacon established The Conclude Consultancy in 2010, and developed a method for the analysis of hospital use, called 'Occupancy Analytics'. He is an architect by background having specialised in airport and leisure design. In 2001 he moved from airport design and development to establish a business information systems business, culminating in the design of a sustainability management system for Pricewaterhouse LLP. It was with this background that he conceived the possibility of leveraging clinical information system data to inform the specifications for new hospital projects. Occupancy analytics is the scientific method that enables this to be achieved. Dr Bacon regards himself as bridging the traditional divide between engineer and clinician, academic and practitioner.
